The retailers will now pay RWF 2,360 for 1GB weekly which implies a 27% decrease from the previous price of RWF 3,226. For the 5GB package, the retailers will pay only RWF 12,000, implying a 14.1% reduction in the wholesale prices.

The wholesale price cuts are in the 1GB package valid for a week and the 5GB package with a month’s validity.

The retailers will now pay RWF 2,360 for 1GB weekly which implies a 27% decrease from the previous price of RWF 3,226. For the 5GB package, the retailers will pay only RWF 12,000, implying a 14.1% reduction in the wholesale prices.

Speaking to The New Times, Han-Sung Yoon (Patrick), the Chief Executive Officer of olleh Rwanda networks said that Rwandans will be able to access affordable high speed Internet.

According to Yoon, 4G being expensive is a myth which Rwandans should not believe not to take up the service.
