Mulindi-Japan One Love is known for being the only venue in town that hosts Bob Marley concerts, and now the management of the place is back with even a bigger event— Bob Marley Festival, an international reggae event that celebrates the life and legacy of the late Bob Marley.

The festival will be held on May 11-13.

"The festival evolved from the annual Bob Marley Day celebrations which are usually held at One Love. It is a first of its kind organised by the One Love team in collaboration with Lion Story and we are hoping to continue the trend in the coming years,” said Leo Lüdemann, one of the organisers of the festival.

Strong Voice.

The three-day fair will feature some of the talented names in reggae such as Strong Voice and Kwanda band (Rwanda), Lion Story from Burundi, Ras Clan Entertainment (Uganda) and Dub Armada (Germany).

"The festival will mainly consist of reggae music, although there will be some modern approaches on the genre by Dub Armada and RasClan Entertainment. All proceeds will go toward supporting the artists and the Mulindi Japan One Love Project, "adds Lüdemann.

Marley is arguably one of the most influential musicians of all time and credited with popularizing reggae music around the world, as well as serving as a symbol of Jamaican culture and identity.
