Leicester City have won their first ever English top-flight title after Tottenham's failure to beat Chelsea on Monday night.

The draw leaves the Foxes 7 points clear of Spurs at the top of the table, with only six points left on offer from the north London club's final two games.

The club's season has been one of the most extraordinary in the history of English football, the unfancied Foxes going from narrowly avoiding relegation in 2014/15 to taking the Premier League by storm over the course of the next 12 months.

After 36 games of the season, they sit on 77 points thanks to 22 wins, 11 draws and just three defeats - coming at the hands of Arsenal (twice) and Liverpool.

Many have called the triumph the most unlikely event in sporting history - with odds of 5000-1 available on the feat before the start of the season. Breakout seasons from the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy were instrumental in Claudio Ranieri's men stunning their more illustrious rivals.

The pair have scored 39 goals between them over the course of the season, with both of them making the PFA Player of the Year shortlist - along with teammate N'Golo Kante, the hard-working France international providing the midfield stability which allowed Vardy and co to attack so effectively.

Leicester have two games remaining in their season, next weekend at home to Everton before travelling to Stamford Bridge on the final day - a homecoming of sorts for Claudio Ranieri, who was let go by the Blues more than a decade ago.
