Right Guards Cricket club captain Eric Dusingizimana has vowed to end Challengers’ dominance in the V.R. NAIDU Twenty20 cricket tournament when the two sides meet in this year’s final on Sunday at Kicukiro cricket oval.

Right Guards beat Impala Titans in the semi-final on Sunday.

Speaking to Times Sport after guiding his team to the final, Dusingizimana, who is also the national team captain, said they are ready to end Challenger’s supremacy.

"Challengers have won this tournament for the last three years consecutively, but now is the time we changed that,” said the 29-year-old opening batsman.

He added that, "We have played in a couple of finals but without much success, therefore, we need to change our game plan and make sure that we deny them (Challengers) any chance on Sunday.”

Defending champions Challengers CC beat Indorwa CC in the semi-finals, also played last Sunday, meanwhile, the women’s final will be contested between White Clouds and Charity Cricket Club on Sunday at the same venue.
