Kiyovu look to extend winning streak against visitors Musanze

SC Kiyovu will be hoping to continue their winning streak in the national football league when they host Musanze FC at Mumena Stadium today.

Yves Rwasamanzi’s team are in fourth position with 32 points, three behind Mukura VS who will play against former champions Rayon Sports at Huye Stadium.

Coach Rwasamanzi will be relying on veteran striker Andre Lomami who has scored ten goals, and is leading the top scorers chart.

"Our aim is to win every game, it’s not easy, but we have to believe that we can win the remaining matches. We are facing tricky teams in upcoming fixtures, but we have set our target to win all our games,” he said.

Rwasamanzi admitted it is going to be a tough game against Musanze, but was fast to add that his team were determined to finish the league on a high.

"This is an important match for us, and we have prepared for it in the best way possible. We want to win the game to stay in the race for the title,” the former Isonga coach added.

After winning four games, losing ten and drawing four, Musanze are in 13th position with 16 points, four points above the relegation zone.

However, Musanze head coach Joseph Semwogerere has also vowed to settle for nothing less than a win.

"It will be a difficult game, but we need to make sure that we snatch the points,” Semwogerere added.

In other matches today, Mukura VS will host Rayon Sports in a tough battle at Huye Stadium and Djuma Masudi’s Rayon Sports will be aiming to win the game to close the gap on APR which is leading the table with a four-point gap.

APR will face tricky Bugesera FC at Nyamata turf; Amagaju FC travel to Rusizi to face Espoir FC, while Police FC will battle it out with Rwamagana City FC at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Marines FC will travel to Southern Province to face AS Muhanga at Muhanga Regional Stadium; Etincelles FC will host Sunrise FC at Umuganda Stadium, while Gicumbi FC and AS Kigali will lock horns at Gicumbi ground.
