KCB bank staff on Friday visited Kamonyi genocide commemoration center and extended support towards the maintenance of the place as well as to the genocide survivor’s community at large.

The bank staff first visited the genocide memorial center where remains of 4,742 genocide victims are laid to rest and later went to the community and met with the people who were affected by the genocide.

At the commemoration center, the bank staff laid a wreath on the graves and handed a cheque of Rwf500,000 to the management of the centre to help in its maintenance and development.

Maurice Toroitich the managing director of KCB on the behalf of the bank staff said that it is one of the little things they can do to see that the genocide never happens again.

"Every time we visit a genocide memorial site, it brings back the memories of the pain of the loved ones we lost. It is difficult when you hear the accounts of the victims.
