Musanze FC striker Peter Agblevor insists his side is still in the title race after scoring on his return from suspension.

The Ghanaian forward was handed a three-match suspension following a horror challenge on AS Kigali goalkeeper Yves Kimenyi during the Primus National League match held at Ubworoherane Stadium on October 29.

The foul left Kimenyi needing surgery on his torn tibia and fibula, an injury that could see him sidelined for the remainder if the season.

Meanwhile, Musanze struggled in Agblevor’s absence, losing to Gasogi United and Gorilla FC. But his return made an immediate impact on the club’s performance as he scored during club’s 2-0 away win over Amagaju FC at Huye Stadium on Tuesday, December 5.

"I am happy to be back and on the score sheet. It was a great game and I am elated we took the three points," Agblevor told Times Sport.

"The title race is not over, we are very much in contention and we will go all out and make history. We are now second on the table and we will keep pushing for the title,” he added.

Agblevor has featured in nine out of 13 league games so far this season, scoring eight goals in the process.
