Rwanda’s female traditional and modern artiste Diana Teta has pulled out of Primus Guma Guma Super Star Season 6, a local annual flagship music competition. Teta made the announcement on Facebook today.

"I am nominated as one of the top 10 Rwandan musicians to participate in the PGGSS competition. This is to inform you that I will not participate this year due to many upcoming projects including my album that requires focus and commitment. I truly appreciate your votes and showing that you believe in me. I can only hope you keep showing love and support on this decision I have made,” read a post on her Facebook wall.

Teta was nominated among the ten music stars on Thursday during the event that took place at Top Tower Hotel based in Kigali.  Diana Teta and Allioni were the only girls who were nominated by media personalities, deejays, producers and music critiques.

According to the rules of the contest, Diana Teta will be replaced by the nearest person in votes, who at this time is Young Grace. The rules indicate that at least a minimum of two female artistes must be chosen.
