Bralirwa yesterday unveiled ten contestants for its annual flagship music competition, Primus Guma-Guma Super Star – Season 6.

After over three hours of voting during an event that took place at Top Tower Hotel in Kacyiru, Kigali, media personalities, deejays, producers and music critiques came up with a final list of 10 nominees, including just one group.

Journalists from different media outlets across the country turned up for the voting in big numbers.

The preliminary list had 19 individual artistes and groups.

The voting process was facilitated by Bralirwa in collaboration with East African Promoters and Price Water Coopers.

The event attracted over 100 journalists, Dj's, producers and other music critiques.

This year will see the competitors battling for the ultimate prize over the course of eight super road-shows of which six will be live and two semi-live.

According to the organisers of the contest, there will also be four community service related activities as part of giving back to the community.

Joseph Mushyoma, the head of East African Promoters, addresses participants yesterday.

The competition has been running since 2011. Tom Close won the first edition, then King James, Riderman, Jay Polly and Knowless Butera.
