Dear editor,
I am extremely bitter about the way children are used, abused and man handled by the government militia and rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

When children are stripped of their innocence and forced to become murderers and prostitutes to the profit of ruthless and harsh-minded leaders it is despicable!

What can be done to remove the guns from these child warriors in the DRC and other war-ravaged states?

We cannot expect a lot to be done since the UN and EU and other superpowers are worried more about the global financial crisis than anything else.

Financial crisis or not, children should not be used as weapons of warfare!

Intoxicating their minds with wicked ideologies of genocide, crime and cold blood murder is something no sane adult would do.

This is happening, and indeed the world is getting crazier by the day.

In line with this thought, I say that where we are headed, only God knows.

Maybe the apocalyptic days are at hand.
