SATURDAYEVERTON 2-2 ARSENAL 2.45pm

FA Cup: Knocked out by Watford. Champions League: knocked out by Barcelona. What next? Fight for Premier League title. The story of Arsenal. But it can’t come any tighter seeking to bounce back from the defeats with a tough trip to Merseyside. Arsenal are 11 points behind leaders Leicester but since they kick off first, their fate is in their own hands. Every game is a final now for the Gunners but Everton are themselves in a mood to fight for Europe. It will be a tough game. I see another painful trip to Merseyside for Arsenal. Draw.

PALACE 1-2 LEICESTER 5pm

Just eight matches separate, Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes from arguably the most unexpected title triumph in English football history. After overcoming a tough challenge from Newcastle last weekend, Leicester City will virtually be champions if they can leave Selhurst Park with all three points. Crystal Palace are infamous for wrecking title chances. But with N’Golo Kante playing with the energy of three men and Jamie Vardy never stopping to run, Palace will have to upset the tables to beat Leicester. Away win.

CHELSEA 1-3 WEST HAM 5pm

Reversal of fortunes. West Ham visit Stamford Bridge to continue unlikely push for Champions League place. They are just two places behind Manchester City in fourth. Chelsea will be hoping to continue pushing for a place in Europa. Away win.

SUNDAY

N’CASTLE 0-0 S’land 4pm

The Magpies have not beaten bitter rivals Sunderland at St James Park in three seasons. Will Rafa Benitez change this fortune? Lose here and Newcastle will surely go down. Tough game this! I pick a draw.

SPURS 1-1 B’mouth 6pm

Tottenham must win this because next week will be a tough trip to Anfield. But Bournemouth are no pushovers. Draw.

MAN CITY 3-3 MAN UTD 6pm

Louis van Gaal’s obstinacy is very peculiar. How he sticks with Fellaini despite the bad results is an enigma. For City, their bid to push for the title is dented already with injury to centrebacks. Home win or draw.
