Rwanda’s afro-beat artiste, Victory Ngarambe, commonly known as Elion Victory, has revealed that will return in style after a stint off the music scene.

The comeback before the end of the year will come with a launch of his fourth album dubbed Choice.

Known for songs like Amafaranga, Marita, and Only One, among others, the singer says he once again wants to connect with his fans.

"My fans keep asking me why I have not been doing music as a solo artiste for a while, and why I have not released new songs; this reminds me of the responsibility I have as a person who decided to do music. People tell me how great and talented I am, and so I don’t want to disappoint them. It’s time to come back,” he says.

Choice, which the 28-year-old describes as the reason he chose to do music, will comprise of songs like Fallin in Love, Dear Mama, Last Chance, and Wa Si We, among others. At least six of the songs, according to the singer, are already in the studio.

"You may ask yourself why ‘choice’? It’s simply because I chose to do music professionally and because music is what I do best and music is who I am. When people see me, music is what they expect from me. So this album describes just that,” he notes.

The album also follows three other albums; Mbwira, Uko Wapi, and Iyo Mbimenya, which the singer released years back together with his Elion Experience mix tape.

Elion Victory has been quiet since 2014 when he joined Neptunez Band, a local afro-urban band.

While many are wondering whether he will quit the band and do music as a solo artiste, Victory notes that being part of the band won’t stop him from doing music as a solo artiste.

"Working with the band will never stop me from doing a solo career. The band is the best experience and it’s all about music and perfection. My fans should expect good music, nice videos and great performances,” he says.
