Popular American soul artist Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III AKA Alloe Blacc is going to Kenya.

According to the Blankets and Wine Facebook page, the star, who is behind I Need a Dollar and The Man hit singles, is scheduled to perform on April 10 at the Ngong Racecourse during the annual Blankets and Wine festival.

The 37-year-old Southern Californian native’s other outstanding works include the vocals for Avicii’s chart topping track Don’t Wake me Up.

Apart from singing, Blacc can play over six different musical instruments including the piano, guitar (bass, electric, acoustic) and trumpet.

Away from music, he is an active philanthropist with the Malaria No More charity, whose mission is to have "a world where no child dies from a mosquito bite”.

Tickets are selling at KSh2, 000 and the event is scheduled to start at 11am to 9pm.
