Uganda has booked their ticket to represent Africa in the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup which will take place in United States and West Indies in 2024.

This is going to be the country's first appearance in the T20 Cricket World cup, which has been in existence since 2007, after failed attempts on various occasions.

The Cricket Cranes defeated Rwanda by 9 wickets to finish second in the Africa qualifiers, behind host nation Namibia who also qualified as continental tournament winners.

The biennial global tournament will see 20 countries battling for supremacy as each of them hopes to lift the ultimate trophy.

Rwanda men's team were hoping to see the men's cricket team emulate the success of the U19 female team earlier this year where they reached the Super Six of the maiden cricket youth world cup in South Africa. However, the opponents looked way too tougher for them to beat.

The men's cricket world cup will take place from June 4 to June 30, 2024 in United States and West Indies.
