'4G network key tool for businesses'

High-speed Internet is essential to facilitate business operations and promote digital inclusion. High-speed Internet is essential to facilitate business operations and promote digital inclusion. Speaking at the ‘‘Tigo 4G Phone Festival’’, Sunny Ntayombya, the corporate communication and government relations manager at Tigo Rwanda, noted that the festival was part of the campaign to sensitive Rwandans about the importance of the 4G. 

"This is part of a series of awareness campaigns that Tigo will be conducting across its operations in the region…the campaign is about digital inclusion and being able to use the Internet to change peoples’ lives. With 4G network, service delivery is going to be easy, helping change the lives of Rwandans,” he said on Friday.

The festival also aimed at showcasing the capability of 4G long-term evolution network in changing the way people browse online and stream media content on mobile telephones and computers.

Jack Habyarimana, one of the festival attendees, said 4G network presents many opportunities to businesses, and Rwandans in general.

Justin Ruzigamanzi, another participant, said high-speed Internet connection eases business and learning activities, and government services, among others. He said it is a key facilitator for online learning.

Festival goers were able to buy discounted smartphones from Samsung, Techno and Konka, and 4G data plans from Tigo.
