University of Rwanda side, UR Grizzlies will be aiming to maintain their steady progress when they visit Southern Province rugby league leaders Resilience in Rusizi on Saturday.

Claude Mudaheranwa, the UR Grizzlies captain promised a better showing from both forwards and back line.

"We have trained hard, we have worked with our defence especially on the wing where we have had errors,” said Mudaheranwa, who is nursing an ankle injury.

He added that the backline has been boosted by scrum-half Eric Biraro, who has proved a reliable ball supplier this season.

The university side have 4 points after defeating winless Muhanga 12-10 last weekend and the 10-0 loss to Kamonyi Pumas in the first game of the season.

Resilience have two wins under their belt, against Muhanga (34-6) and Kamonyi Pumas (29-12), however, scrum-half Samuel Nirere has ruled out any complacency.

He said, "We have been working on our support play because the opponents play a more physical game. However; our focus isn’t on winning the physical contest but the game.”

The leaders (10 points) will be without influential captain Donatien Ufitimfura, who is down with illness.

In Kigali Central league, the game between Lion de Fer and Remera Buffaloes, the last game before the mid season break, has been postponed.

Remera Buffaloes have 9 points, level with Thousand Hills but the former have more tries, Lion de Fer have 4 while Kigali Sharks are bottom with 1 point.
