[VIDEO & PHOTOS] Car catches fire at Gishushu

Yesterday afternoon, at around 2pm, a Mercedes Benz, was engulfed in flames just next to the Gishushu traffic lights along Airport Road, leaving it completely written off. Rwanda National Police cordoned off the street from curious onlookers as Police Fire Brigade put out the fire, an exercise that took almost half an hour.

Yesterday afternoon, at around 2pm, a Mercedes Benz, was engulfed in flames just next to the Gishushu traffic lights along Airport Road, leaving it completely written off. Rwanda National Police cordoned off the street from curious onlookers as Police Fire Brigade put out the fire, an exercise that took almost half an hour.

The accident that took place on the busy junction led to temporary traffic jam as cars were diverted to feeder roads on a busy Friday afternoon. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

The car is owned by a one Deo Nshimiyumukiza and by press time Police was trying to establish the cause of the fire.
