Mukabazatoha Gorretti is an elderly woman of good traits and character, thanks to her vast period of imparting knowledge, building personalities and character. The 68-year old retired primary teacher, taught in several schools in Karongi district, from 1968 to 2008 when she retired, talks with authority, walks gracefully and goes about her business with unwavering confidence and dignity. Her forty years of teaching, I can see, turned her into a shelter of a friendly face.

There are some other amounts of good breezes behind Gorretti’s way of life, I can tell. It’s what I want to establish. And I am so pleased. She gives answers.

"I loved teaching as a profession and I was doing pretty well as a teacher until finally I felt my aging could no longer cope with the classroom stress,” she says.
