Rwanda national football league side Rayon Sports FC has released five players with immediate effect, according to reports.

The development comes a day after the club’s goalless draw against struggling AS Muhanga in a league match on Tuesday at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Effort to get a comment from the club management proved futile as both the club president Denis Gacinya and secretary general/spokesman, Olivier Gakwaya could not pick our calls by press time.

However, reliable sources in the club not authorized to talk to the media, confirmed that the five players have been offloaded.

They include; full-back Moses Kanamugire, Jean-Marie Vianney Rukundo, Bodo Ndikumana, Bernard Uwimana and youngster Kevin Ishimwe. The 2013 league champions, Rayon Sports are currently in second place with 22 points, three adrift of table leaders AS Kigali after eleven rounds of matches.
