Rayon Sports have suspended star striker David Kasirye indefinitely for what the club described as his "unbecoming manners”. The Club announced the suspension on Wednesday.

The Uganda forward Kasirye has until Monday, February 15 to report to the club authorities and explain why he has gone AWOL since last November, or else he risks having his contract terminated, according to the club officials.

The former Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) striker, who inked a three-year contract with Rayon Sports on a free transfer last August, has not been at the club for the last three months without permission and has never even communicated reasons of his absence.

"We decided to suspend Kasirye for his appalling manners, leaving the club for three months and cutting communications is intolerable, he even risks permanent expulsion if he doesn’t report back by Monday,” Rayon Sports secretary general, Olivier Gakwaya, told Times Sport on Thursday.

Gakwaya noted that, "He is a talented striker but we can’t take this anymore, Rayon Sports is a big club with core values and code of conduct that Kasirye failed to abide by.”

The 21-year-old striker left the club for Uganda shortly after the league was suspended on November 7 to give time to national team to prepare for the just concluded Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda.

Before the league break, Kasirye had scored four league goals to help the 2012/2013 champions overcome a shaky start to move into second place with 18 points, three points adrift of table leaders AS Kigali after 9 rounds of matches.
