Bruce Melodie meets Shaggy ahead of US performance

Renowned Rwandan music star Bruce Itahiwacu, popularly known as Bruce Melodie, on Monday evening met legendary Jamaican artiste Shaggy, who recently featured on his number one trending song, ‘When She's Around' for the first time in Fort Worth, Texas.

This comes after the Rwandan star travelled to the US where he is expected to perform alongside his Jamaican counterpart at various concerts on the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour.

Through his social media pages, Bruce described his meeting with Shaggy as a visionary one with a living legend.

"Where great minds and great food collide discussing the future with the team and the living legend," Bruce captioned a picture he posted this morning on his X, formerly Twitter.

The picture shows Bruce and Shaggy dining with their management teams, including Coach Gael, Bruce's manager, and many others.

The two will perform tonight at the 14,000-seat Dickies Arena in Dallas as part of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, which also features mega music stars such as HER, AleXa, Paul Russell, Big Time Rush, P1Harmony and more.

The New Times understands that Bruce Melodie will fly back to Rwanda over the weekend to perform at the Move Africa Tour, which will take place in Kigali and will be headlined by rap legend Kendrick Lamar, before heading back to the US for another big show at the Amerant Bank Arena in Miami.

Bruce's US tour is a result of his recently released track 'When She is Around', which features the legendary Shaggy.

The collaboration has been a big one for the Rwandan star, opening doors to mega stages and interviews with major media and personalities worldwide.

It is also said that Bruce Melodie is in talks with one of the biggest record labels in the United States known as S-Curve Records, which is also in line with his trip to the United States.
