With the boyfriend look; one can look stylish only if they know how to pair them well. It’s not necessarily that one has to put on everything that is boyfriend. You can still maintain the style by mixing it with the normal style.
Boyfriend jeans
They come in different colours and designs, the most common being distressed and dirty jeans. With these, you can pair them with a t-shirt, top or vest and still make a statement.
"The best option is usually to pick a plain colour of the jeans and pair them with a bright coloured top. Also, with boyfriend jeans, one can still finish the look by wearing sneakers or rubbers,” says Emmanuel Kaberuka, a boutique Vendor in Town.
He adds that, since boyfriend jeans are always baggy, folding them at the bottom brings out a unique and sophisticated look.
Boyfriend shirts
Kwizera says that it doesn’t have to be your boyfriend shirt; one can go for long and big shirts, tops or T-shirts.
When paired with leggings, pencil trousers and skirts, they really complete one’s look, and again, for casual wear, sneakers or ankle knee boots are the best option.
The watch
With a rising number of women opting for a watch over bangles, the best ones to include in your closet are big watches, (boyfriend watch).
Kaberuka says that a boyfriend watch is funky if one chooses the right colour for them.
It’s better to go with your favourite colour that will be able to go well with your outfit. For instance, a black watch can be accessorized with a pair of black shoes, and that they can be raised or flat depending on one’s preference.
Rubbers/sneakers
"When it comes to shoes, rubbers and sneakers bring out a clear boyfriend look. Boyfriend rubbers can be worn with shorts, a pair of jeans or dresses. With this, one can still rock with combining the distinctive look,” says Jacky Kwizera, a fashion stylish at Gikondo.
