Rwanda National Handball league reigning champions, Police HC have completed the signing of three players ahead of the start of the 2016 season, which is scheduled to start in March.

Rwanda National Handball league reigning champions, Police HC have completed the signing of three players ahead of the start of the 2016 season, which is scheduled to start in March.

The trio include; center-back Jean Luis Munezero from APR, right-winger Jean Nepomuscene from St. Aloys Rwamagana and former Nyakabanda goal-keeper Placide Mutangana.  They all join the four-time local league winners on a-one year contract.

Last year, Police enjoyed the most successful campaign, winning six titles namely; Heroes Day, Labour Day, League, Carre d’As beach and East and Central Africa Handball Federation (ECAHF) titles.

According to head coach Antoine Ntibaganya, the aim is to do even better in the upcoming season.

"We need to strengthen and build a self-sufficient and winning squad for local, regional and international competitions, so the three new players are a great addition because they are all talented, and have enough experience of playing in the league,” said Ntibanganya.

The club started pre-season training over a month ago at Kimisagara youth sports centre in preparation for the season.
