DR Congo take on Angola in the second African Nations Championship (CHAN) Group B match seeking to book their place in the quarter-finals at Huye Stadium in Huye District, Southern Province.

This game will be followed by the clash between Cameroon, which defeated Angola 1-0 in the opening match and an Ethiopian side that was thrashed 3-0 by Congo on Sunday.

Angola will also be looking to record their first ever win against Congo—both teams have met three times before with Congo having the edge with two wins and a draw.

Speaking to the media in a post-match interview after Sunday’s win, DR Congo head coach Florent Ibenge cautioned his men not rest on their laurels as Angola and Cameroon will provide a tougher challenge.

"We cannot base our performance on the 2009 record since then the tournament had only eight teams unlike the current one which has 16 very strong teams, which are all determined to get results. So we have to be cautious with each game we play,” said Ibenge.

Meanwhile, Ethiopia will be searching for their first point in CHAN finals. The team hopes to avoid a bad repeat of 2014 performance in South Africa when the team lost all the three games and failed to score a goal.

Both sides have met once way back in the 1970 Africa Cup of Nations when Cameroon defeated Ethiopia 3-2.
