Mukura Victory Sport has released four players after completing the signing of Burundian forward Emmanuel Ngama last week.

The Azam Premier League Huye-based team signed Ngama from Kenya Premier league side Tusker FC as January transfer window nears closure. The released players include right back Hussein Habimana and central defender Ombeni Muyango. Habimana has been with the club for one year and eight months, while Muyango has played for the club for four years. Others include central midfielder Jean Claude Gakuru who joined the club from La Jeunesse FC in 2013 and striker Berthe Dusange (Etincelles) who joined the club in 2013.

Mukura Secretary General, Hamdan Habimana, confirmed the signing of Ngama.

Ngama scored the second goal in the 2-0 win against Amagaju FC at the official inauguration of Huye Stadium last Saturday. The stadium will host the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) Group B matches.

Habimana told Times Sport that the decision was reached on Tuesday following the coaching staff meeting resolution in December last year.

"After their meeting (Coaching Staff) they delivered their resolutions to the club executive committee and we also carefully assessed them and we also agreed to terminate their contracts,” said Habimana

Meanwhile the team began training at its refurbished Kamena Stadium on January 5 ahead of the league re-opening immediately after CHAN games on February 6. The team currently stands in the fifth position with 17 points, four points behind leaders AS Kigali.
