RE: "Jean Uwinkindi sentenced to life in prison for genocide” (The New Times, December 31).

Good, while this verdict will not bring his victims back to life, at least justice is now finally rendered to them and the wider Rwandan society.

He will now have ample time to reflect on the rewards of his horrendous capital crimes against his fellow man and his sins against the divine laws he was sworn to uphold.
