East African Party

Jamaica’s dancehall star Konshens (real name Garfield Delano Spence), will be entertaining Rwandan music lovers on Friday, at the Parking of the Amahoro Stadium, Remera.

Konshens, who’ll be performing for the first time in Rwanda, is expected to give music enthusiasts a special treat to start a new year in style.

The ‘Gal Dem Talk’ hit singer, will feature local artistes like King James, Bruce Melody, Allion, Urban Boys, and Green P.

The show will kick-off at 4pm

Ultimate after party

It’s going down at Hilltop Hotel, Remera, where the duo dubbed ‘Mix Empire’ will be entertaining the music lovers on January 1.It’s free entry, and the event will kick off at 6am in the morning up to 9pm.

Christian Dance Festival

You want to start the year 2016 with blessings of praise, don’t forget to join the United Dance Worshippers in annual event dubbed ‘Christian Dance Festival 2016’, which will take place at New Life Bible Church, Kicukiro.

The dance festival will feature creative dances, salsa, traditional, and flow motion, all from different gospel teams and individuals like The Worshippers, The Messengers (comedy), Brenda Indekwe of spoken word, Rabagirana worship band, and many more other choirs.

This second edition is slated for Sunday, December 3, at 4pm, and it’s free of charge.

Put on your dancing shoes and check out some of Kigali’s hottest nightclubs; K-Club in Nyarutarama, People’s Club in Kacyiru, Le Must in Kiyovu, Deep Club in Remera, and Envy in Kimihurura are sure to give you a thrill.

Movies

This weekend, film lovers are in for a treat with ‘In the Heart of the Sea’ showing at Century Cinema, Kigali City Towers. In brief, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, with a sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s great novel, Moby-Dick.

It’s on at 4pm, 6:45pm and 9pm through the week.

The Good Dinosaur is another movie that you shouldn’t also miss; it’s an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend.
