It was an early Christmas for guests of Hotel Des Mille Collines by Kempinski in Kigali,  when the hotel treated them to a colourful Christmas tree lighting cocktail Thursday night.

At the tree lighting, guests were treated to delicious food and drinks by the hotel as they enjoyed Christmas music at the 5-Star’s lobby.

The General Manager, Christoph M. Strahm, was brief in his jovial speech, simply thanking the hotel’s clients and business partners for their support, and encouraging them to make merry.

"We have different partners who we work with; we also work with the entire community. This is the time to thank all the people who have been supporting us throughout the journey,” Strahm said.

The ceremony featured an exhibition to showcase the best tastes Rwanda offers under the theme, "We are a community”.

Christmas is a time to celebrate and make merry with family, friends and loved ones, to reflect upon the year, and look forward to the new one.
