Renowned Rwandan gospel artiste Theo Uwiringiyimana commonly known as ‘Theo Bosebabireba’, surprised revelers when he performed with local Afro beat artiste Eric Senderi Nzaramba aka Senderi International Hit, at Senderi Night – a night club based in Cosmos in Nyamirambo.

Senderi was launching his third album dubbed Tekana on Saturday, November 28.

Something which has never happened in the Rwandan music industry, and of course unheard in the gospel industry, Theo stormed the stage after a number of artistes had performed, and did what he was asked to do as he describes it.

"I never knew that I was going to perform in the club. I never even thought that it is possible to launch an album in a club. Senderi called me that he’s having an album launch in Nyamirambo. I had to accept since he’s my good friend,”

Asked why he didn’t decline after establishing that he’s going to perform in a club, the gospel artiste said that sometimes you don’t need to rush into taking decisions.

"People have different issues and meet different problems; you can’t immediately refuse to come when your friend calls you. This is why I didn’t rush to take such decisions,” he explained.

Bosebabireba performed his song ‘Bugacya’ in which he features with Senderi, and continued to sing his other own songs like ‘Bosebabireba’, and ‘Ikizurubwa’, to name a few.

The show which started at 10pm was characterised by a lot of surprises. It was hosted by Phil Peter – radio Isango presenter.

While commenting on the choice of the launch venue, Senderi revealed that he did it because he was financially poor to find a big venue where he would’ve held it.

The show featured over 20singers, both upcoming and already established artistes. Some of the artistes included Abakimaze Crew, Samusure, Sergeant Robert, Frankay who works with Top 5 SAI in Musanze, and Sunny- a Rwandan lady based in Singapore

Ama-G The Black, Rafiki, Edouce Softman, Lil G, Intore Tuyisenge, Dj Pius, and TBB also performed.
