RE: "BRD, EADB sign $15 million credit line to support the private sector” (The New Times, November 27).

This interesting deal will facilitate Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) growth. When it comes to new investment projects or even when expansion of existing projects is contemplated, it is invariably the small, medium and micro enterprises which face the biggest challenge.

The new credit line extended by EADB will precisely address such concerns and challenges.

EADB's director general, Vivienne Yeda commended the "excellent strides” undertaken by BRD to accelerate Rwanda's economic growth.

Yeda also highlighted the "good prudential management in ensuring proper use of the funds” allocated to BRD earlier which naturally prompted the sanction of an additional credit line.

Investors, particularly in the SME sector, always look for financial support and partners.

This initiative will go a long way in encouraging innovation and start ups to explore their entrepreneurial skills.
