‘Moto’ riders should learn traffic rules

Dear editor,
I greatly appreciate the presence of passenger motorcycles on our roads because they take us fast during the rush hours.

However, I have a big problem with the way some of these riders overspeed unnecessarily.

Many a time I have narrowly escaped being crushed by cars because these riders do not understand simple road rules.

I just keep wondering how these people think. How does a motorcycle compete to overtake a racing vehicle?

Worst of all, they even hoot for the vehicle to give way!

The irony of the whole matter makes me want to laugh, but it’s not even funny.

‘Moto’ riders should understand that any instant brush with a vehicle means death to them and their customers.

It is very simple common sense that vehicles have a heavier weight than a moto.

Therefore, I am urging that moto riders who race moving cars should reconsider their actions basing on this fact.

Besides, consideration for the passenger’s life should be the priority. It is not only about reaching the final destination in the shortest time possible but also getting there in one piece.

So, please take heed.
