RE: "Mutoni on her dream to represent Rwanda on global stage” (The New Times, November 25).

It is very encouraging to read about success stories of Rwandan youth through The New Times. I am sure these talented young men and women receive the necessary impetus to do even better in their respective avocations.

Spoken Word Rwanda provided Angel Mutoni with the ideal platform to build her confidence, stage presence and develop her public speaking skills. All this led to the release of her first solo recorded song and video, "Bad Girl Swag”.

As she remarked, she wants to "try to uplift others and show them that everything is possible and put Rwanda on the map”.

The Indian Merchants’ Chamber, a 108-year-old Premier Chamber of Commerce and Industry, encourages youth empowerment and has a vibrant Young Leaders Forum. Member organizations have in the past facilitated Rwandan students from the former School of Finance and Banking, Kigali Institute of Management and even from the current University of Rwanda’s College Science and Technology.

We would be very pleased to likewise facilitate Mutoni by making her dream of representing Rwanda on the global stage a reality.
