Rwanda has slipped by three positions from 93rd to 96th in the latest FIFA World rankings released on Thursday in Zurich, which follows yet another drop by 15 positions from 78th position in September.

The monthly rankings are largely based on competitive and friendly international games that a country plays. Amavubi Stars downfall follows a double 1-0 loss to Burkina Faso and Tunisia U-23 respectively played October in Morocco.

However, Jonny McKinstry’s team maintained second position in the CECAFA region after Uganda which moved up by seven slots to 68th from 75th, followed by Burundi (107), Ethiopia (114), Kenya (125) and Tanzania (135).

Côte d’Ivoire (22nd) claimed the first position on the continental from Algeria (26th), who dropped to second, followed by Ghana (30), Cape Verde Islands (32), and Senegal (39).

Meanwhile, Belgium moved up by three positions to claim the first spot on the world rankings from Argentina, who drop to third, world champions Germany jump to second while Portugal (4) and Chile (5) complete the top five teams in the world.
