Kagame has restored our dignity

President Kagame restored the dignity of Rwandans and made this country stand proud as a peacock. Rwandans trust him and are satisfied by the tremendous achievements they witnessed under his patriotic leadership.

RE: "Who wants to fill Kagame’s shoes?” (The New Times, November 2).

President Paul Kagame is very unique indeed; he is very consistent since I have known him; he always walks the talk; he never tolerates corruption and indiscipline; he is very humble and a unifying factor.

He stopped the Genocide against the Tutsi and even integrated former combatants into the Rwanda Defense Forces.

Those who fled their country—but didn’t participate in the killings—were welcomed with both hands, shown a glare of hope and given a new promising beginning upon their return.
