Nsengiyumva dropped from cabinet

Albert Nsengiyumva, who has been the State Minister in charge of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), was this morning relieved of his ministerial duties according to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.

Albert Nsengiyumva, who has been the State Minister in charge of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), was this morning relieved of his ministerial duties according to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.

"In accordance with the Constitution as amended to date, specifically article 116, President Paul Kagame has removed from cabinet Mr. Albert Nsengiyumva," reads part of the statement signed by Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi.

Prior to his appointment to head the TVET docket, Nsengiyumva was the Minister of Infrastructure.

Nsengiyumva—who was once a lecturer at the now University of Rwanda - College of Science and Technology—has previously served at the Ministry of Education as a director.  ‎
