Lucky tournament winner receives an airline ticket to anywhere in the Qatar Airways network

KIGALI, Rwanda – Qatar Airways proudly partnered with MTN Rwanda as the Official Airline of the annual MTN Golf Open held at the Kigali Golf Club on October 10th and 11th. This is the first time the airline has participated in the event which is now in its fourth year, and is in line with the airline’s successful tradition, and strong commitment towards sponsoring community and key sporting events worldwide.
The two-day friendly tournament attracted a number of enthusiastic participants, bringing out the competitive spirit of golfers fromKigali Golf Club, several corporate companies, neighbouring countries, as well as members of Rwanda’s National Golf Team.
John Museminali, who brought in the overall best net score, walked away with the grand prize of an airline ticket to any destination within the Qatar Airways network. Mr. Museminali was also declared the winner in the Seniors Category for golfers aged 60 and above.
Lawuru Gahima, who golfed alongside six other children, took home first prize in the Children’s Category, with Sheetal Philip winning in the Ladies Category. First place in the Men’s Category 3 was Francis Njoga, who won with a handicap of 19-28; Category 2 winner was Kim Moon, with a Handicap of 10-18; and the Category 1 winner was Rutamu Innocent, with a Handicap of 0-9.
