Police name squad for African Handball Champions League

Police handball club coach sgt. Albert Sibomana has named a 14-player squad ahead of the forthcoming African Handball Champions league slated for October 21-30 in Nador, Morocco.

Police handball club coach sgt. Albert Sibomana has named a 14-player squad ahead of the forthcoming African Handball Champions league slated for October 21-30 in Nador, Morocco.

The 2015 national league champions are currently in intensive training at Kimisagara Youth Center in preparation for the continental tournament as well as the Carred’As tournament set for this Saturday.

Sgt. Sibomana says he has confidence in the squad that he has summoned for the continental event, "We need to use our successful campaign this year as a motivating factor and we are confident we can make it.”

"I selected the players according to how they have been performing in the league,” he added. The team is set to fly to Morocco on October 18 for their second appearance since debuting in 2012.

Gilbert Mutuyimana, Norbert Duteteriwacu, Jean Baptiste Habimana, Théophil Niyigaba, Raymond Nsanzimfura, Norbert Tuyisenge, Eric Kaneza, Samuel Bananimana, Zacharie Tuyishime, Haruna Bizimana, Camarade Nzibonera, Gilbert Camarade Mbonyinshuti, Jean Paul Muhawenayo and Jackson Uwimana.
