Stromae lovers are waiting in anticipation for the Rwandan-Belgian singer’s concert.

The show, dubbed Rwanda Nziza, takes place at the Independent University of Kigali (ULK) stadium on Saturday and the organisers have promised a well-planned show.

Speaking to The New Times, Judo Kanobana, the CEO of Positive Production, the show’s organisers, said, "This is the last show of Stromae’s tour and he is coming back home to Kigali. It will be a perfect show.”

The stage preparation team and back-up singers arrived in the country ahead of Stromae on Sunday. 

Stromae had to cancel his show in Kinshasha and Kigali in July after succumbing to side effects of anti-malaria drugs. However, the excitement is still on and ticket are selling like hot cakes. 

Asked about the number of tickets sold, Kanobana said, "We have people purchasing tickets from all our outlets, even on line, we can’t tell accurately how many tickets have been bought so far but we expect about 20,000 people at the show.”

Kigali’s concert is the last of a two year world tour that has taken Stromae across Europe, America and Africa.

The African chapter of the tour began in Senegal in May last year. 

While in America, Stromae became the first non-English speaking artiste to headline and sell out at New York’s Madison Square Garden. 

In past interviews, Stromae has spoken with excitement and zeal about his Rwanda homecoming. 

Stromae’s popular hits in Rwanda include Papaoutai,Formidable and Alors on Dance.
