The Wood Foundation Africa (TWFA) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or organizations to conduct a GIS Mapping and Census exercise in support of a new Smallholder Tea Greenfield Development in the Southern Province of Rwanda.

Scope of Work

The overall objective of this exercise to is to develop a clear and detailed map of the individual smallholder plots that are under or those that will come under tea production along with a detailed database of information (Farmer Census) relevant to each farming household who will become involved in this tea greenfield development. This survey will use ‘tea farmers’ as measurement units to produce maps of each individual plot and collect other relevant data.The eventual output of this exercise will be classified into two clear categories: maps of individual plots embedded within the maps of the overall greenfield development and tea farmer data linked to each individual plot that has been mapped.
