Andre Kayitera’s experience will be key when ADB clash with defending champions Efotec this morning in the first of two semi-finals of the Fina bank schools cricket tournament at Kicukiro.

Kayitera, one of Rwanda’s top cricketers will come against some of his Young Tigers’ teammates in Audifax Byiringiro, Christian Mwijanda and Right Guards’ Fiston Nsengiyumva.

Ahead of this game, Kayitera beaming with confidence said that ADB has what it takes to make the final and even win the tournament.

"The boys are in good shape and very focused at the task ahead. They just can’t wait to lift the trophy,” Kayitera said.

ADB progressed to the semi-finals with a 100% record after comfortable wins over Kagarama and a Kigali combined side at the pool stage.

In the other semi-final, Apade will look to Rwanda’s strike bowler Eric Dusabemungu when they encounter Kagarama.

Dusabemungu, who boasts of nine wickets in the Utexrwa Cup, will also be handy with the bat after recently proving that he is one of the big hitters of the cricket ball in the country.

The winners will then face-off in the final which will be shortly followed by a prize giving function fully sponsored by Computer Point to a tune of Frw 0.5m.

The boys’ final will be preceded by a girls’ final between defending champions Ndera and Kagarama.
