Gicumbi FC coach Emmanuel Ruremesha has vowed to end AS Kigali’s unbeaten run when they visit the table leaders on Sunday on match-day 4 of the Azam Rwanda Premier League at Mumena Stadium.

AS Kigali are yet to lose this season following a goalless draw against promoted Rwamagana FC in their first league game and 2-1, 4-0 wins over Rayon Sports and Sunrise FC which took them top of the league table with seven points coming into this weekend.

Looking ahead to today’s game, Ruremesha, whose team are in 10th position with four points, vowed to halt AS Kigali’s fine run.

"We want to win on Sunday to be able to move up the table but also as a confidence booster going into the next matches, and I am quite positive because we have had a good results in our recent encounters with them (AS Kigali),” said Ruremesha.

Last season, Gicumbi won 1-0 in the league first round encounter at Gicumbi Stadium before the two teams settles for a goalless draw in the second round at Mumena Stadium.

Ruremesha noted that despite his team’s slow start to the season, it’s too early to start going for the panic button.

Thirteenth-placed Marines FC with three points host bottom side AS Muhanga, the only side without a point this season while Sunrise FC (14th), who lost 4-0 to AS Kigali in their last outing, entertain Etincelles FC (15th) at Rwamagana ground.
