The final round celebrated unisex clothes, locally designed in a unique way, underlining the brand's dedication to promoting local craftsmanship in particular.

Amidst the runway glamour, Janiya launched its cutting-edge online platform, the ‘Janiya Online Portal’, a digital marketplace that offers a profusion of simple and luxurious goods and services, providing a cost-effective solution for buying, marketing, and selling clothes in the ever-evolving digital era.

Yvette Mukarwema, the visionary CEO of Janiya, shared her thoughts during the event. She emphasized the company's dedication to excellence, unwavering commitment to client satisfaction and the promotion of Rwandan craftsmanship.

"We are a textile manufacturer, launched in 2019 in line with Rwanda's ‘Made in Rwanda’ government program. We started with 30 employees and have increased to 200 permanent and 100 temporary contracts, aiming to produce 2000 batches of clothes per day,” she said.

"Our recent online portal launch is set to hire another 700 workers, targeting young social media users in particular. We're focused on teaching online buying, saving time and transportation.”

In terms of output, Mukarwema mentioned that the company only produces designed clothes however, next year they will expand to fabric manufacturing, anticipating an increase from 2, 000 to 6, 000 batches of clothes per day and workers from 1, 000 to 3, 000.

Agasaro expressed her excitement, stating, "I am honored to represent Janiya, a brand that mirrors my values of style, quality and faith as a Christian.”
