Title hopefuls Rayon Sports will play the third round of matches in the national volleyball league playoffs on Sunday in Ngoma district without their key right attacker Nelson Murangwa, who is struggling with an arm injury he sustained during the All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.

"We will be without Murangwa but we will try to win the third round. It will be hard because INATEK will be at home but we will give our best to will all three games,” Rayon Sports coach Fidele Nyirimana said.

Rayon Sports will also miss the services of their captain Fred Musoni, who joined Finland first division two weeks ago. With six games left ahead of this weekend’s matches, Rayon Sports lead the table with 52 points, four better than second-placed INATEK while defending champions APR sit in third position with 38 points and Kirehe is fourth position with 25.

Today, all teams will play against each other on a round-robin basis, and if Rayon Sports win their three third round matches, they will add nine points to their tally and will only need to win two more games next weekend to be crowned the national champions only in their second season in the league.
