Make Kwita-Izina conservation meet bigger, more impactful

RE: "Murekezi calls for collective efforts in conservation” (The New Times, September 4).

What a great opportunity for Rwanda to contribute to international efforts in conservation through this conference.

Organisers should make more effort to make this a truly international conference, which would promote Rwanda as an meetings, events, conferences (MICE) destination.

Let’s make it bigger and more impactful next year.

It would have been interesting, for example, to see discussions around Africa on the need to ban wildlife hunting, in the wake of killing of Zimbabwe’s Cecil the Lion.
