Grant names Ghana squad for Amavubi game

Ghana head coach Avram Grant has named a 24-man squad for the upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on September 5 at Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali.

Ghana head coach Avram Grant has named a 24-man squad for the upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on September 5 at Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali.

The former Chelsea trainer has included in-form Andre Dede Ayew who missed the first qualifier against Mauritius due to injury but the forward has since recovered and has scored two goals for his new side Swansea in the English Premier League.

The Black Stars will face Congo Brazzaville in a friendly game on September 1 in Congo before travelling to Kigali for the Group J fixture.

On-loan Bournemouth winger Christian Atsu, who is expected to recover from injury in time for the Amavubi encounter, has also made the squad that is captained by Asamoah Gyan.
