Rayon Sports have completed the signing of midfielder Fabrice Kasereka also known as Moussa Mutuyimana on a two-year contract until the end of 2016/17 season, the Nyanza-based club confirmed on Friday.

The Club secretary general, Olivier Gakwaya, confirmed to Saturday Sport that the DR Congo-born attacking midfielder is expected to be available for pre-season as well as the Agaciro Development Fund tournament.

"It’s true we have signed him and we expect him to start training with the rest of the squad immediately as the team prepares to face Amagaju in the Agaciro tournament on Monday,” said Gakwaya.

Former Police FC captain, Kasereka, has been training with AS Kigali and was tipped to sign for Eric Nshimiyimana’s team but opted to join Rayon Sports.

He was released by Police at the start of the 2014/15 season.

Last season, Rayon Sports attempted to sign him but both parties failed to agree on terms and the player decided to look elsewhere including in Kenya, South Africa and his native DRC but with little success.

The Blues, who are reported to be in talks to bring back former coach Didier Gomes da Rosa, have lost several key players including; defenders Abouba Sibomana, Karim Nizigimana (Gor Mahia).

Others are; midfielder Aphrodis ‘Kanombe’ Hategekimana and Faudi Ndayisenga (Sofapaka), Djihad Bizimana and Faustin Usengimana (APR), Isaac Muganza and Robert Ndatimana (Police) and striker Frank Romami (Musanze).

Among their new signings is central defender Thierry Manzi from Marine FC, forwards Kevin Muhire and Savio Nshuti from Isonga FC and Cedric Mugenzi from Gicumbi.
