Volleyball team start training for All Africa Games

Rwanda national volleyball team head coach Paul Bitok has named a 20-man provisional squad for this year’s All Africa Games slated for September 4-19 in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.

Bitok released the list on Monday evening and the team started residential training camp on Tuesday. The team is residing at La Palisse Hotel.

The team will be training twice a day at Amahoro indoor stadium for three weeks, according to the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) secretary general, Christian Hatungimana.

Rwanda has been drawn in Group B along with Algeria, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Ghana and Seychelles in the 11th edition of the quadrennial All Africa Games.

Provisional team:

Setters: Hervé Kagimbura, Ivan Mahoro Nsabimana, Eugène Tuyishime, Jean Paul Sibomana and Bonny Mutabazi.

Libero: Bosco Mutabazi and Emile Karera

Right-attackers: Olivier Ntagengwa, Christophe Mukunzi, Flavien Ndamukunda, Patrick Kavalo Kumuntu and Aimable Mutuyimana.

Left-attackers: Nelson Murangwa, Yves Mutabazi and Yakan Lawrence Guma.Middle blockers: Fred Musoni, Fabrice Nkezabahizi, Vincent Dusabimana, William Mudaheranwa and Pierre Marshal Kwizera.
