With support from his family and friends, T-Rock has honed his ability as an Afrobeat and R&B artiste—he has also graced several music stages in the country.

The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Jean Twagirayezu, says life wasn’t all rosy after losing both his parents at a very young age and he was raised by his grandfather.

Now a Business and Information Technology student at University of Kigali (UoK), T-Rock already has a number of singles under his belt that include, Duhuze Imitima, Nimba Padiri and Mu Mutwe, among others.

The blooming singer who hails from Rubavu district in the Western Province says that he looks up to producers Fazzo, Nicolas and Morex as his role models.

"Music is something that I’m born with and live with. My dream is to perform on international stages and become a renowned singer. I want to be known for making great and inspiring music,” he says.
