Hadi eyes northern circuit race title

Rubavu – Musanze: 65.4km

Benediction Club rider Janvier Hadi has vowed to win the 65.4km Northern Circuit race taking place today.

The tourney is part of ‘Rwanda Cycling Cup’ which includes 10 national races and will cost an estimated Rwf48 million courtesy of Skol and Cogebanque.

"I am prepared for this race, I will give my best and I believe my team will win today’s race,” Hadi Janvier said.

The race is part of preparations for the 2015 Tour du Rwanda; the riders will start in Rubavu town, the home of Benediction Club to Musanze.

The competing teams include Benediction Club, Amis Sportifs of Rwamagana, Cine Elmay from Nyamirambo, Huye Cycling Club for All, Fly of Gasabo and Kiramuruzi Cycling Club.

Hadi has previously won the ‘Race for Culture’ and ‘Race to Remember.’

The Northern Circuit is the fifth event in Rwanda Cycling Cup 2015.

The competition started in April with Kivu Race: Muhanga – Rubavu which was won by Joseph Aleluya while in May, Benediction Club’s Hadi Janvier won the Race to remember.

In June National Championship race against Clock: ITT / Kicukiro, was won by Valens Ndayisenga and the National Championship, road race from Kigali to Huye went to Joseph Biziyaremye. It was again Hadi who clinched the Race for Culture in July from Nyamagabe to Nyanza.

The race will continue on August 22 for the Western Circuit, and the Muhanga – Karongi on September 12, Tour of Kigali + Circuit: Kigali – Bugesera before Tour du Rwanda.
