Sunrise FC striker Yafesi Mubiru is in jubilant mood after his match winner against AS Kigali brought his eight-game goal drought to an end.
Muburi finished second in the Rwanda Primus National League top scoring charts last season but he had a poor start to the new season, failing to find the back of the net in eight games before he scored what proved to be a match winner in the 81st minute as Sunrise beat AS Kigali 1-0 on Sunday at Kigali Pele Stadium.

While the goal handed Sunrise their first win in five matches, it also opened the flood gates for the striker who is looking forward to regaining his goalscoring form.
"It had not been a perfect start for me but I finally scored and I am happy the goal gave us the three points," he told Times Sport.
"I have a feeling that it opened doors for to score more goals just as I did last season,"
The Ugandan forward admits that AS Kigali was not easy to beat but his team remained ambitious to win the game because but they "needed the three points so badly.”
" Away games against a team like AS Kigali is always tough. We needed to win the game at all cost and we fought hard to achieve it," he said.
New head coach Jackson Mayanja now has a tough task to bring Sunrise FC back to their top form during the international break before they return to action in two weeks’ time.
